Rachel Fisher, Director of Student Community Service at Eastern Illinois University, will explore meaningful ways to foster volunteer engagement, empowerment and retention.

       Throughout the state, CASA programs are powered by remarkable advocates who embody the CASA mission. Yet, volunteer recruitment and retention is an ongoing challenge for CASA staff. Laura Huth, President and CEO of do good Consulting, will work with CASA members to examine effective recruitment and retention practices, as well as lead brainstorming exercises on how to keep the momentum going.

  • June 27, 2012 - 12:00pm registration/networking: 12:30pm-3:30pm presentation - Bloomington, Illinois - "Outcomes v. Outputs" - Alicia Schatteman
       Defining and measuring the impact of a CASA program is sometimes difficult. Yet, it is necessary to help our community, donors and grant funders realize the importance of our mission. Join us as Alicia Schatteman, NIU Assistant Professor, Division of Public Administration, delves into the differences between outcomes and outputs while exploring overall program measurements we can use to convey the important work we do.
